Just as you may be, your children are fond of watching the Wizard of Oz and would love to wear Lion Clothes for Halloween. All of you may have always wanted to dress as a roaring lion for a costume party.

If you want to purchase lion costumes for your boy or girl (teen, toddler, infant), there are many offered for sale online and in the stores. We have a couple outfits to show you that would be perfect for your family party or for them to wear as they visit neighbors and friends during the Halloween festivities. Here is one of the most adorable little girl lion dresses that we’ve seen anywhere. This tan sundress has dark brown plush trim at the top of the bodice and all around the hem. There is a really sweet looking silky light brown ribbon lace-up design on the front and the back has a cute attached hanging tail. The tan headband is perfect with its matching ears and matching leg warmers with brown trim are the perfect accessory. There is nothing cheap looking about this outfit. Remember that costumes usually run smaller than normal sizing.

Shoes are not provided with this outfit but she can wear her old ballet slippers or a pair of black flats. If it’s cold in your neck of the woods during Halloween, you can dress her in some corresponding colored tights underneath the dress. She will still look cute. Use some of your makeup to draw on whiskers on her cheeks and perhaps a bit of blush for her cheeks. Other children will be envious when they see your darling lioness and other adults will be taking photos right along side your man who is using the family camcorder, asking “where did you get that outfit?”

This Wizard of Oz Cowardly Lion Outfit is so cute that you shouldn’t pass it by. Although the sizing may be a bit off from what the packaging says the chest measurement for the large is up to 42” and the waist is “42”. The burnt orange suit includes a one-piece jumpsuit and a plush headpiece with attached lion ears. If you have allergies, the lion’s mane sheds a bit until you wash it, but is attached as a collar and the long tail attached to the back of the outfit is perfect. Do note that there is elastic around the pant leg cuffs.

You may want to purchase a tan pair of boots or plush slippers unless you have something in your closet that will work. A makeup package is also available so that you can paint your face or your child’s face with whiskers. The costume is hand washable which is great since you will likely want to hang onto this for other parties. A masquerade party may be in your future. Many men and women are into going on Safaris these days and the thick forest in Africa provides the prime place to visit some 30,000 lions and their prides. Some adventurers travel to Gir Forest National Park in Gujarat, India where they can see what remains of a critically endangered population of these magnificent beasts, likely only about 350 Asian lions. There’s a lot of excitement at seeing your first pride of lions, usually about 20, in their natural habitat. Legend has labeled these huge cats as being the king of beasts and representing courage and royalty. Why shouldn’t wearing a lion costume, especially purchased at a discounted price, bring almost as much enjoyment for adults and children around Halloween? It’s so much fun to play let’s pretend. You can buy some posters and flags along with the outfits to decorate your surroundings.

Lion suits and dresses are available online and in costume stores year-round so that you won’t have a major problem acquiring an outfit for plays and birthday parties. Some of these clothes for an adult can be quite sexy and are offered in a wide range of sizes, including plus size for either a man or a woman as well as in a large child’s size. We all love buying at a discount so why not start shopping in advance of your performance or party. Low prices are always a draw along with quality items.
